MARYVILLE HOUSE

Maryville House features in the February 2021 edition of Home Beautiful Magazine.

Our clients purchased this seaside, weather board house with the intention of converting it into a four bedroom home to accommodate their growing family.

TM Design Studio were brought on board to assist with the design of the new extension to the rear, and to bring a sense of cohesion between the old and new areas.

We worked with a palette of muted, fresh tones, to create a calming, yet playful sanctuary for the young family to enjoy for years to come. The layered, bespoke interior elements allowed us to insert the client’s individual aesthetic into the key areas to make the home truly unique to them.

The kitchen space was generously proportioned at our Lewis Street project, which meant that we were able to easily tick the storage and circulation boxes. What was interesting with this design is that the longer island bench needed more consideration to ensure it didn’t feel like a never ending piece of joinery that looked overly elongated.
